About
My approach to psychotherapy is less focused on symptom reduction or fixing what feels wrong and more on listening for what has remained unspoken, including the patterns of feeling, relating, and bodily experience that quietly organize one’s life.
I specialize in mood related suffering, including experiences of depression and anxiety, as well as the lasting effects of childhood and complex trauma. These experiences often live on as an underlying tension, a persistent restlessness, or a nervous system that remains on alert, shaping relationships and one’s sense of self.
I see adults and couples, meeting each person where they are. I view therapy as a relational process, one that unfolds over time within the safety of a therapeutic relationship and offers the possibility of discovering a different way of being with oneself and others.
Training & Experience
I hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and am completing my post-doctoral fellowship. My training is rooted in private practice and informed by a two-year fellowship at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis, where I deepened my capacity to listen for meanings emerging within the shared emotional field of the therapeutic relationship, allowing patterns of feeling, ways of relating to others, and experience to be more fully understood and gradually transformed.
My Approach
Psychodynamic, depth-oriented therapy focuses on understanding how past experience continues to shape present emotional life, relationships, and one’s sense of self. By giving thoughtful attention to feelings, memories, and patterns that may have remained unspoken or not fully understood, this approach creates space for insight, integration, and meaningful change over time.
